Hi, I’m Melissa,
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in children and teens in addition to adult individual, couple, and family psychotherapy. I consider myself an eclectic psychotherapist who uses the theory of Carl Rogers and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for relaxation, client-centered, and symptom reduction. In addition, I am an Advanced Level Clinician in the Somatic Experiencing Professional Training Program. I am trained as a depth and somatic psychotherapist. I specialize in holistic body-mind approaches to symptom reduction and resolving trauma.
I am highly experienced in counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing a mental health crisis. I love to support clients in their growth and healing. As a solution-focused therapist, my passion is to help individuals and families dive deep, learn how to communicate their needs and achieve their individual and relational goals.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and suicidal ideation. I have over 15 years of experience working in Emergency Departments, Psychiatric Emergency Services, Inpatient and Outpatient facilities.
